The worst tour I've ever been on! I totally advise against wasting your money and time with Ao Nang Photo Travel Tour. We were literally herdedinto the boat which should have been maximum 50 persons (which is already a lot). The tour guide pushed us and shouted for us to take our seats, but the boat wasn't even equippedwith enough life jackets that she had to borrow some from the boat next toours! We all sat packed tight like acan of sardines. Icounted 58 people, but according to the boat license that Iasked to see, the boat was only legally allowed tocarry 54 people! When Iconfronted the lady about it, she refused toacknowledge me.
The boat that we were on seemed to be made for maximumcapacity andminimum enjoyment- It was rows of seats and you could not even see out of the boat at all. The "tour guide" if you can call the rude lady with us seemed like she was only with us to shout at us andmade sure we were seated the during all the rides. During the trip, the "tour guide" was rude and never offeredany information about the islands or anything at all, except to give us commands to sit down or stand up to take pictures or excuses why we couldn't swimor embark.
The tour was totally different from the program statedon the brochure- half of the islands that were advertisedon the brochure of which we paid to visit were just a 1 minute pause for us to standon our seats to take photos. At Monkey Bay where we were supposed to go swimming and see monkeys, the guide told us that we would not be going because "the monkeys are dangerous sowe cannot swim here". andout of the boat we saw heaps of happy people on the beach and swimming in the sea. Then she changed her mind, "it's raining a lot so the monkeys don't come out". At Pileh Lagoon where we were supposed to stop to swim, she says "we don't stop here because all the people whoare swimming noware on private tour so their programs are different", when it was soobvious that they weren't even private boats!
Soof the 7 islands advertised, 3 were actual stops where you were given 40 minutes to quickly explore the islands amongst the throngs of people and for a swim. Phi PhiDon was just acanteen style lunch and the other 3 were just "Ok, this is XXX. Standon your seat to take photos."
Overall the islands were beautiful but it was overcrowded. There wasn't even much place to swim because the shores were just full of boats coming in andout or docked. The "tour" shouldalso have been from 9 am to 4pm, but we were only picked up fromour hotel at 10amandarrived backat 3.40 pm!
